Mooge Posted June 28, 2014 SOMALIA: Somaliland forces pull out from Talex as Puntland vows to recapture Sool region Posted on June 26, 2014Somali News Somaliland affiliated armed forces had pulled out from Talex town, Sool region which Khatuma state leaders are based on before the town was seized by Somaliland forces in 12th June. Residents told Raxanreeb Online that the army has started pulling out from the town of Taleh today in the morning hours which they have captured it in 12th June not mentioning the motive behind their withdrawal. No official from the government of Somaliland has made remark on this withdrawal of their army from Talex which is located in Sool region, a territory that Puntland and Somaliland dispute since the collapse of central government of Somalia. Somaliland armed forces have seized the control of Talex in 12th june amid Khatuma leaders were gathering for Khatuma 3 conference which was expected to give birth to the formation of the Khatuma regional administration. On the other hand senior Somaliland government officials led by interior minister Ali Mohamed Waran Adde have paid a visit to Talex yesterday. The interior minister Waran Adde had addressed a speech to the local residents in Talex making promises that his government will implement developmental projects aimed to improve the lives of the people of Talex. This came prior to aggressive military movements that Puntland forces were making in the disputed region of Sool in the basis of responding to what Puntland termed as “Land Grab provocations from Somalialnd”. A recent statement jointly from United States and European Union has called Puntland and Somaliland to pull their armed forces from the disputed regions to avoid confrontations that can contribute to the instability in Somalia and the region as well. Army is inside taleex the bulk have returned to their barracks just outside the city. Even cabdi cawar said we can't fight against somaliland. Be grateful we don't take bosses or garowe hot air pirates nothing but talk with these people. They can't fight, they can't rule, the worst is business masters in talking though.
