The Federal government of Somalia has on Saturday strongly condemned the arrest of its consular to Kenya Siyad Mahmoud Shire who was held in detention for several hours on Friday.

The high profile diplomat was snatched from his home in Nairobi when heavily armed police officers raided his home and then took him on armoured vehicle.

Several other people who were with him at the time were also detained, according to Somali government.

Speaker of the Somali parliament Mohamed Sheik Osman Jawaari termed the diplomat’s arrest as an ‘agressive’ and unwanted move.

“It is an irregular act and absolutely against international diplomatic rules that securty forces raid the home of such high profile diplomat” Somali parliament speaker said on Saturday.

“We will not accept such intelerable attacks by Kenyan security on our diplomatic mission—I urge the cabinet to send an urgent complaint letter to Kenya and ask why their forces have done such barbaric raid and arrest of the Somali consular” the Speaker accentuated.

“We don't want to play the bilateral relations between the two countries, but w are telling Kenya that Somali government will not accept the continuation of such arrests against our people” the speaker continued.

Somali consular to Kenya Siyad Mahmoud Shire was finally released on Friday evening after a marathon efforts by the country’s ambassador to that country Mr. Mohamed Ali Nur (Ameeriko).

For the past several weeks Kenya arrested nearly 4000 Somalis during a widespread police swoop. About two hundred of them were sent back home, while others are still being held in detentions.

The toothless regime in Mogadishu can't do anything. Weak government where even their own officials are unsafe from Kenyan brutality

This is what the Mogadishu Regime gets for their incompetence and extreme selfishness and short-sightedness.

What we're seeing right now is the devaluation of the Somali nation. Somalis have become cheap, Kenyans can rob/rape/kill Somalis with impunity, and nothing will be done about it. The Kenyans know it, the Somalis know it, and it's just a sad reality.

Allah will humiliate Somalis again and again until the people fix their behavior and change their values.

There was a time Kenyans literately used to worship Somalis my o my what has the world changed and the region the once arrogant and stubborn Somalis, are now caged and their diplomatic representatives are humiliated.. There was a time European diplomats used to be terrified of Somali way of doing politics geo politics in the region , and the British crown was once forced to come and rescue Kenya from Somalis. And look at them today Kenyan leaders speak in a very condescending manner towards Somali politicians, very sad.

Somalia is dead gentlemen I have said that on numerous occasions. In all seriousness is there anything left??

Ethiopia is in bay and bakool and galgaduud. Kenya is in the south, Uganda, Burundi, serre lion, Djibouti etc. Yet still Alshabab are killing politicians so called, the bandits still can not control a single street without AU holding their hand.

No tangible currency. Turks feeding the poor and the state.

And all this after 23 years... Seriously.

Somalia is dead gentlemen we know it because we want nothing to do with it, pirates know if because no one wants them or gives them anything, hag knows it because after 23 years they are still at stage one.

Ciidan sultan slow down on the ill wishes for Somalia this not part of the Somaliland culture,, if its dead its also bad for Somaliland , Somalia is badly wounded and it lacks capable leaders and its people are fractured, this is a problem, and allot of soul searching is needed for both the communities and the politicians to understand what is at stake here.

The humiliation started long time ago. Somali ministers and members of Parliament are checked twice before they land to Nairobi. The plane that leaves Mogadishu stops at Wajeer regional airport before it lands nairobi, where they are checked for second time.

After Al-shabaab attacked Villa Somalia a month or so ago, The president of Uganda sent him 400 specially trained soldiers. Here you have the Somali president that can't find few hundred Somalis soldiers to guard him.

Caasimadan noqotay madax furashada Soomaalida hadaan laga wadin Muqdisho, oon meel kalec la gayn, walee Soomaali meel tan ka sii daran ayaa laga don dooni.

Dadkan waxay kaga dhamaata 'soomaali this, soomaali that'. War wax aan ku naalo maleh inta aan naalo meeshaan is dhignay.

Get rid off this bloated self importance oo aan runta ku saleysneyn.

Xattaa shisheeyaha qaar baa ku yasaaya markey ogaadaan asalka, inkastoo passport kale wadato.
