Admin Posted March 30, 2014 (Somalia Online ) - A new document obtained by the German newspaper Spiegel from the American fugitive Edward Snowden alleges that the US spied on 122 world leaders with the late president of Somalia, Mr. Abdulahi Yusuf Ahmed being on top of the list. The National Security Agency obtained special court orders for much of its spying work against these leaders, the document alleges. In addition to Abdulahi Yusuf Ahmed, the list of world leaders spied on by the NSA includes the German chancellor Angela Merkel, Palestinian president Mohmoud Abbas, former Malaysian prime minister Abdullah Badawi and Ukrainian strong-woman Yulia Tymonshenko. Edward Snowden is former employee of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and former contractor for the National Security Agency (NSA). Snowden who now lives in Russia, fled the United States after releasing thousands of pages of NSA’s spying database.
