The president of Djibouti his excellence Ismail Omar Guelleh said that his country was committed to consolidating the war against the Al-Qaeda-linked Al Shabab militants in Somalia.

President Guelleh made the announcement as he received the bodies of three Djiboutian soldiers at the Ambouli international airport on Thursday evening. The soldiers were among several Somali and Djiboutian soldiers killed in a suicide attack in the town of Bulo Barde.

President Guelleh termed the slain soldiers as ‘ heroes’ saying they died in the best place to die as they were fighting to liberate their Somali brothers from the hands of notorious terrorists.

“The soldiers were heroes who devoted their lives for the sake of their Somali brothers and sisters to help them defeat terrorists” President Ismail Omar Guelleh told reporters at the Ambouli international airport in Djibouti on Thursday evening.

“I declare with a loud voice that we will always be standing alongside our Somali brothers and sisters, our forces in Somalia will consolidate the war against Al Shabab and we are planning to send more soldiers to Somalia” president Ismail Omar Gueleh emphasized.

The president promised that his government will provide more help with the families of the slain soldiers saying they will never forget the huge duties that the soldiers carried out in Somalia before they were killed in a suicide attack by terrorists this week.
