I was going to say thank Allah she didn't choose the word "assimilation" but I realized the two are not necessarily mutually exclusive.

 

Did anyone read Young Yun Kim's "Becoming Intercultural: An Integrative Theory of Communication and Cross-Cultural Adaptation?". It is a fascinating book.
