Doctor the regions they ruled from 2009 was much more peaceful than SFG controlled area's lets give credit where its due alshabaab might love homicide attacks and international jihadism but they can govern.

Xaaji, that's not a valid point, since Shabaab is the one that's behind the insecurity in the regions of Somalia that don't lie under their control. They're the ones behind the mortars, the suicide attacks, the random killings of civilians, etc.

 

So of course when they seize control over an area (like in 2009), there's going to be relative "peace". Because they're the ones who were behind the insecurity in the 1st place! How does something as simple as that not register with you?

 

And if you consider the random searching of civilians, killings of people on mere suspicions, arbitrarily banning anything they deem to be "haraam" and then killing anyone who disagrees with them, punishing people without due process and proper procedure, not setting up proper institutions, not setting up a representative government, not creating an economic framework to help drag Somalia out of the mess that it's in, not forming relationships with foreign governments and having a domestic plan to revive our country.

 

If you consider all of that as "good governance", then maybe your 3-city Republic can start implementing some of their same governance tactics, and we will see on whether the Somaliland citizens would be happy with it!

malistar Axmed Godane will die for his cause he will not run stop spreading propaganda and after Ahmed godane there will be another one and another one , The same way when Bin laden died Alqaeda is still far from defeated they are every where in iraq and syria now. By the way Godane could not be defeated by SNA lets not kid our selves godane would eat SNA alive and spit them out if it was shabaab versus sna. Ina Godane would rule the entire south easily if there were no 30.000 African union troops. i am still amazing how Shabaab still is effective despite the enormous troops they sure have a great strategy. But i know that Godane worked with the taliban in Afghanistan he using the same methods and tactics to make sure Shabaab survives the same way the taliban survived in Afghanistan surely very weakened on all front but not defeated.

Malistar no one is wishing Shabaab managed to survive since 2009 they are in the decline but i am sure they will survive because i know one thing is that the African union troops cant defeat shabaab they can weaken them but not defeat them.

This just shows that Shabaab is even deep in Kenya and that is true shabaab gets its logistics very well , and malistar we re not talking about arresting people. Inadeer it may be foolish to repeat the obvious here, but I will be honest with you here and say there is something disturbing about your choice of words for terrorist Godane.. You have sought most closely and diligently in praising a terrorist organization leader for all the wrong motives. When pressed, most thoughtful Somalilanders know peace in Somalia is good for everyone. Al-shabab is no good for anyone including Somaliland. Soon they will crane their neck into Hargeisa.And don’t even think that Somaliland has the resources or the power to fend them off. You should deplore the actions of these terrorists. Their narrative only appeals to emotions. I wasted few minutes watching these Swahili brainwashed retards.
