Tallaabo Posted March 5, 2014 ^^ Exactly. And what will Ethiopia do about SSC and the people who live there? The land is in the hands of its owners- the SSC people, and Ethiopia cannot simply come in and hand it over to Puntland. Abdi Wali should come up with something better. Dr_Osman Posted March 5, 2014 Abdiweli never said he discussed SSC with Ethiopia, he said whatever questions Ethiopia has regarding SSC I will give an answer but I won't talk about that here in front of the press. Ethiopia needs to pose the SSC question before Abdiweli can answer them and that's all he said. How ppl twist it is up to them. Ethiopia cannot do much regarding internal Puntland politics, they never did when abdullahi yusuf was there, ethiopia role in gobollada is quite over hyped, the only thing ethiopia doesnt want to see is a war which can give shabab a leverage since they always tend to lurk around in chaos, but the influence ethiopia has on what puntland does internally is very limited. Exactly, Kismayo taken from its rightful owners with help of Kenyan forces. Middle shabelle was in flames cos new residents from Mudug wana take ova. In Hiran entire communities uprooted so their land could be taken. Now what Is SSC: SOOl they could probably be around 50%. SANAG..............................2% Cayn...............................2% that's why they couldn't succeed,It would have been different story if they had majority on all 3 regions. They dreamed selling to the world. Did any one of you saw the clan map created by Siyad Barre? this land grabbing by the pen and the barrel together is what Siyaad tried in then the North & ignited the civil war. Dr_Osman Posted March 5, 2014 If Ethiopia does question puntland claim I am sure Gaas will respond with the strongest of arguments. 1. Sool is tribally linked to Puntland, the nation of Somalia is recognized federal with a strong focus on 4.5 formula 2. Not one traditional isim of ssc is in hargeisa, so the will of the people is definitely not somaliland. 3. The people in that region believe in the somali federal system not seccession 4. Puntland doesn't impede on other tribal areas like el afwayn, baraxlay, etc it also deserves the same in return 5. Ethiopia how can you be against Puntland's claims on tribal ground when you recognize Jubbaland and other tribal federalist regions forming, heck even you yourself implement a tribal federalism for your country I am sure the president of puntland can hold his argument firmly. All he needs to do is guarantee Puntland and Khatumo will resolve their issue in the upcoming all puntland conference with a political solution suitable for all. I am sure the seat of sahal in mogadishu will be up for grabs to non ruling clans of Puntland and Jubbaland which will satisfy all parties equally and also the end of tribal allocations and multi parties for the next elections of Puntland. Beer-Gaal Posted March 5, 2014 According to the rumors in town. Gas was told by Ethiopia to back off on Lasanod/Sool issue, unfortunately it seems no Somali leader dare to differ on what Ethiopians wants him to do lately, including our new president Abdi Cawar ( as Xaji xujo likes to call him). He simply obliged orders and headed back home. I was told the Vice president Mr. Camay will visit Ethiopia to in order to persuade the Ethios and may be play the tolka laguhaysto Sool card.
