Gaas is not holding talks with Somaliland, Puntland doesn't hold talks with anyone who doesn't acceot federalism for Somalia and that's including Ethiopia. We r not like Somaliland politicians having strong ties to Ethiopia who doesn't accept your policies. Ethiopia is the last person to reject tribal federalism when they are tribal federalism. Thats why Puntland cut ties with hamar, the govt takes its federal policies serious.

 

As for Somaliland there is no talks happening there because they are not in ssc, the talks are with ssc folks and he even said that in his campaigns. Even abuudwaq is joining Puntland let alone ssc. The talks r between puntland and it was going to happen anyways since the 98 agreement is going to cease and new system is takimg place and new agreements are going to be introduced which are sahal initiatives. These policies are beyond gaas it's way beyond him, sahal is powerful lobby group and is behind all these policies bringing jigjigga, garowe, and kismayo together and word is there is a new power sharing going to happen that will satisfy even ali khalif let alone others. Word is Whichever clan is president of puntland and jubbaland cannot run for dblock seat in hamar. So this opens the door up for ssc and gedo folks to have rotations on it. That's the plan sahal has. If this adopted their will be no political issues ever again in Puntland and Jubbaland.

 

Lakin there is no talks with somaliland this is puntland and ssc talk, if somalilamd was there then you would speak to them but they are not and its pointless to talk with them because its the ssc folks who run the show there.

Osman maybe u have a hard time understanding the Somali language but this is what ur leader cabdi cawar said , Ethiopia is a non factor in this supporting tribal federalism or not Ethiopia wants to control Somalia so they would support tribal federalism Jubbaland bay and bakool land Banadir state Puntland why not a weaker Somalia a dysfunctional Somalia is always in her interest. And on Somaliland recognition Ethiopia always pushes towards Somalia because they know Somalis will never resolve their difference all in all the longer Somalis are in conflict in Somalia and Somaliland its in her interest in the long term. Its a good strategy of the TPLF really they are not hostile towards any one in the Somali peninsula but only towards Alshabaab and towards Somalis resolving their own differences. Cabdi cawar wants tot talk to Somaliland , Somaliland never talks to garowe it has no interest to talk to garowe. Garowe is no where in Somaliland boocame and taleex are under Khatumo the rest of Somaliland is under SL government, and Khatumo of today leans more towards Somaliland and is very hostile towards the garowe clan enclave. Puntland wants the division of the khatumites when they gave jobs to karaash and biindhe Somaliland govt is trying to accommodate them and in cooperate them all no ifs and maybe thats why Somaliland rules the land. Xaaji when gaas speaks about Somaliland and Puntland he is referring to ssc politicians in hargeisa and ssc politicians in garowe and to end their conflict. This aint about you or me this is strictly about ssc folks period.

 

If Puntland wanted to let ssc go it would've of gone when farole did the constitution review. Anyways I highly doubt the way Somalia is heading with tribal federalism a small clan in hargeisa will buck the trend, heck even usc folks couldn't stop it in jubbaland I highly doubt snm which is alot smaller then usc can stop it. The way Ethiopia is a tribal federalism, I doubt they could have any objections to Puntland being one too without looking silly. Xaaji thats just how the nation is shaping up. Puntland started federalism, jubbaland confirmed it. The federal project today is not something just one clan has, it's what all clans are aiming for. It's a true national framework and why it will be the only system left standing when all is said and done. Shabab won't be around, Centralist won't around, secessionist won't be around, only federalist will be around. It's already the system recognizex for all somalis since 2004 and it aint going nowhere. DETOORE osman Ethiopia has a strong history theocracy their institutions have been set up for centuries ethnic federalism of Ethiopia the ethnic states might have a strong base for their ethnicity or culture but they all pledge allegiance to the state that is Ethiopia the federal republic is using the strong foundations Ethiopia was build upon for centuries. You cannot compare it to Somalia where a tribal state is very competitive to the Somali federal government There is no federal Somalia today the SFG operates separately Puntland operates separately and Jubba state is under the mercy of Kenyans. i have never said Ethiopia is against Puntland formula for Somalia, Puntland automatically weakens a strong Somalia state which serves Ethiopia in the long term. As for cabdi cawar if he meant the SL politicians from sool he would have used other terminologies a quick question why doesn't cabdi cawar addresses Khatumo if he is referring to the garaad clan. Cabdi cawar is in a very weak position Shabaab is closing in Mogadishu he has terrible relations the Garaad clan wants nothing to do with him. The only out way is Ethiopia but Ethiopia cant help him with Mogadishu. Mogadishu maintains close relationship with addis ababa themselves it seems all is closing up.
