Tallaabo Posted February 28, 2014 This is getting ridiculous. The Somalis in Jigjiga are very close to taking up the bad culture of Bantu Africa where they dance for and shake their bottoms at every passer-by. It is worrying that the Somalilanders are starting to follow this ugly trend. We are Muslims and so this thing needs to stop. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hF9UeKb1Gds
Mooge Posted February 28, 2014 tallaabo there is nothing ridiculous about our old culture of welcoming important people from other places with celebrations. it goes back to 400 years niyoow. maybe you guys never had that culture, but when one of our own comes from another area (a clan elder, a chief), our people used to welcome them with poetry and short stories and big feast on food and camel meat. in this case, at least the guest joined in instead of being entertained sitting down.
