burahadeer Don't blindly defend the atrocities of the Siilaanyo government, they killed their own people.

Live bullets should never be used against protestors. Remember the Xaqsoor incident in Hargeisa? This

seems to be a reoccurring problem.

This is a sad state of affair. I keep hearing a growing sense of frustrations and resentment against this government from across Somaliland. Although the KULMIYE government drastically reduced the corruption, mismanagement, and incompetence it inherited form the previous UDUB government, it created a lot of division in society and as a result tribalism is rearing its ugly hear again. This president is yet to deliver most of the promises he made to the electorate. He cannot transform Somaliland economically overnight or deliver us the international recognition we need but what is in his power and is not that difficult to deliver is institutional and constitutional reforms especially in the areas of law & order, justice, parliamentary duties, elections, policing, separation of power, delegating more responsibilities to the provinces and local communities, rules and regulations for national political parties, the continuity in government departments after each and every change of government, and registration of all the citizens of the country in a national database to make the provision of services easier. If he manages to deliver just some of these much needed reforms he would leave office with a good record and reputation and make our country's foundations a lot stronger.

He needs serious cash to carry out such a project, cash he doesnt have and the little he has will be used to set the upcoming election in his favour. All these moves that are bringing his own family or supporters in key positions is designed with the election in mind. The man is not as dumb as one might think.

Latest news the police officer has refused to be transfered to Zeylac in defiance, he said he is not going

anywhere and will stay in Burco and doesn't want to hold any position in Siilaanyo's government

anymore.

Listen bro, hate to say this but you'r clueless.2 dead so far,2nd one died of wounds today, both from east.Civilians from the west shoot thm yesterday miday long before the RRU arrived....RRU came in the evening. The west took that responsibility and meetings going on between the 2 sides.I don't care about Silanyo but what been emphasizing all along is that gov't blameless & shouldn't be politicised.

Isdeji...

What evidence do you have other than rumors? Check the news it is RRU (Response Resistance Unit) that shot

them, a couple of police and civilians were wounded by those bullets. So don't claim something as absurd as

western Burco civilians shot them when the protestors were clearly unarmed as seen in the video.

It is Siilaanyo that is responsible for it because the RRU comes under the government and secondly

he knew trying to shift the balances in favor of his sub group will create tensions.

The mayor is elected, however the regional governor is not elected. The mayor has no power over the police chief because the police chief is a regional police and not a city police.

Lack of job opportunities for the youth is the main reason for this kind of protests. The trigger can be anything, as long as, there are hundreds or even thousands of unemployed youth wondering around the city centres.

I just see a group of unemployed youth with nothing better to do.

And rightfully so, he should not go anywhere. Burco is his home, his family is in Burco, and he wants to serve his people in Burco.
