The ongoing Somali conflict problems many, solutions non so far.

Somalia symbolically ended the 22 years civil war after a permanent government was established and the Somali elders selected members of parliament.But substantiality the civil has turned a different course where Somalis are still fighting along tribal lines.Somali academics intellectuals have gradually repeated that reconciliation is the way forward. But than a question rises who reconciles with whom , who is the victim who is the aggressor. And in Somalia talking about the civil war on a national level still remains controversial and highly delicate. Yesterday the Somali president spoke in the media calling for a peaceful solution but his government lacks the very tools and functionality to win the trust and minds of the people he supposed to govern. People can say allot about Alshabaab with their extremist views and policies but tribal warfare was unknown in the regions they previously governed.

 

Though Somalia is making steady progress in some area's Mogadishu the capital being under construction people being able to return but the problems as how a country functions remains the biggest challenge for the government but also for the citizens. The army still functions as a militia and is still not able to take a single village with out the African union troops. How ever we should take in account that 2 years ago Most of Somalia was under Alshabaab today this is not the case but the problems cant be tackled by those in charge. The year is ending we are heading towards 2014 soon it will be 10 years since the first TFG government was put together of Colonel Cabdilahi Yusuf. And it some how remains Somalis are still struggling with the same problems
