Classified Posted November 25, 2013 http://guardianlv.com/2013/11/islam-banned-in-angola/ While the constitution in Angola guarantees freedom of religion to all of its citizens, this right no longer seems to apply to the followers of the now banned religion of Islam. According to numerous newspapers in Angola, the African nation has banned the Islamic religion. It has become the first country in the world to take such a harsh stance against Muslims. On November 22, the Angolan Minister of Culture Rosa Cruz e Silva said that “[t]he process of legalization of Islam has not been approved by the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights [and so] their mosques would be closed until further notice.” Why the religion needs to be legalized has not been definitively stated by Cruz e Silva. DoctorKenney Posted November 25, 2013 What a dumb move politically. This will only further isolate Angola and draw the animosity of all 57 Islamic nations. I would imagine that Muslims would even go as far as cutting diplomatic ties with the Angolans and refusing to do business with them. And imagine what would happen if Angola were bordering a Muslim state, a war would be inevitable.
nuune Posted November 25, 2013 Angola thinks they are rich and Muslims are taking their properties, the sad thing is that Angolans remain one of the poorest people on earth despite their economic boom(The Chinese take everything). Indonesia already cut ties with these wannabe Portugeese

GaraadMon Posted November 25, 2013 How is this any different than what Saudi Arabia has been doing for decades? Like the Christians living in Saudi Arabia, the Muslims of Angola are not native to the country.
