Khayr Posted November 28, 2013 What are some things that qualify a group to be "Somali"? If you don't like a particular tribe or group of people, is that reason enough to disqualify from the "Somali" nation (without borders)?
magicbird Posted November 29, 2013 If you believe that having hard hair and large nose is something ugly, then you should Allah for guidance. Because in front of Allah you'll never reach the likes of Luqman, Usamah bin Zayd and his mother Umm ayman, Ahmed Najashi and Bilal (may allah be pleased with them). magicbird Posted November 30, 2013 My family went back to kismayo while it was under shabab, they visited the farms by the Juba river. And the farmers were from our j.weyn brothers, and they said they were happy and living an ok life. This was before the drought. Would this be the same under a UN backed government, no, because Somalis don't know justice. I'm not advocating shabab and I'm against them but the smaller tribes have enjoyed relative peace and prosperity under them.
tutu Posted December 1, 2013 Haatu, with such a contemptuous attitude, says integration is impossible for Bantu people in Somalia, but so are the Somalis in the west. And we don't hear them being told to go home. It is much easier for Somali-speaking Bantu to 'integrate' in Somalia than a Somali in the West save for those with white friends;) Furthermore, Somali Bantus do not need any integration as they've been part and parcel of the Somali society for centuries, not mentioning their sincere contribution to the country's good old days. In addition, as Muslims in a Islamic country, they hardly need any integration considering the teachings of Islam. It is quite disheartening for the young and presumably educated groups in our society hold on to such medieval thoughts, even despite their daily encounter of xenophobes in their foreign lands. Ps; is it only me or it isn't possible to quote in SOL's mobile version?
Haatu Posted December 1, 2013 It seems I went too far in my jokes (although I was serious in some parts).

Cadale Posted December 1, 2013 They would have a better life if they where brought back to their natural habitat. It's not like they wanted to come to somalia in the first place they came to somalia by force. The right thing that every ethnic somali people should do is bestow money some sort of damages for the bantus so they can leave somalia. before all you mofos get worked out let me tell you im just j/king
