(Reuters) - At least 100 people were killed over the weekend when a tropical cyclone hit Somalia's semi-autonomous Puntland region, President Abdirahman Mohamud Farole said on Monday, appealing for help from aid agencies.

Inta dhimatay Alla ha u naxariisto. The coastal regions were in need of assistance before this storm and now may have lost the little services they had. Farole needs to go there, assess the damage, and listen to the people's need. Stop this "urging the world for assistance" nonsense.

There were storm that hit the coastal area back in 2011. It wasn't devastating, but did some damages. And of course there was the Tsunami in 2005/06.

As for this one, there were some issued warnings for the past few days, but guess people either dont hear the warnings or they down play them.
