xiinfaniin Posted November 14, 2013 Oodweyne somehow convinced himself that D-block has been defeated In reality, there is no difference between Fowzia (the Foreign Minister from Hargeysa) and Saacid Shirdoon (the PM from Gedo). The only difference is Saacid's clan is high on Somalia's food chain, while Fowzia is (in the unfair Somali clan settings) the daughter of a politically weak clan , namely that of Oodweyne. If we were to take Oodweyne's conclusion of the outcome of Somali civil war, the "Pashtuns of Somalia" have 60 parliamenterians from Somaliland and few ministers in the "back of the bus" as well . But of course that is a bizarre oversimplification from an old SNM fighter from Gaashaamo
Miyir Posted November 14, 2013 OW unfortunately Qoslaaye is not the man to fulfill anyone's wish. helpless accident prone and failure. too dumb to follow anyone instruction. if i was his patron this will be the perfect opportunity before i lose more investment to pull the rug from under Qoslaaye and gang. Fawzia is there on her own she represent no one , can she go to hargeisa the city she hails form Fawzia's clan is not even playing she was given the position because of the 4.5 clan system formula. But Saacid is your rightful representative in the government of Mogadishu your highest position in Somalias political hierarchy, and he holds no political power in Somalia whats so ever. No one is expecting you to accept defeat but the international community supports the Mogadishu elites in this at the expense of you although you inserted your federalism card into it, just on paper. but it has been undermined by the Mogadishu government and Hassan sheikh crushed your initiative to have an autonomous state south of Mogadishu. Somalias goverment the executive branch and the Military are all in the hands of the Mogadishu community even the cabinet. The Somalilanders you love to inject into this game but issue here is they are not playing , unless you believe Fawzia is playing on behalf of the Afro hashimites , but thats just silly talk. Homunculus Posted November 14, 2013 People like to needle Puntlanders, but I think they are playing the game with a long term view rather than the instant gratification that some here can't get over. Don't you all find it strange that their vision of Somalia is slowly but surely coming to fruition? Despite the recent power trip that the flow of western money and support caused, the incompetence in Mogadishu will make everything come to screeching halt. What's with the deliberate misspelling of Oodweyne's name? And what does 'P/S' stand for?
Che -Guevara Posted November 15, 2013 Oodweyne. Your Pashtun analogy falls flat in that strategy itself is being tested in Afghanistan as the West departs and there is no guarantee Pashtun will keep the lid on the Taliban on either side of the border. Even for the sake of argument, we say this strategy works, there is no credible elite with enough depth and understanding among the "Pashtun" and if we are honest with ourselves among ALL Somalis that could deliver what the West wishes for Somalia. Qaar ka mid ah xubnihii la kulmay Madaxweynaha ayaa ii xaqiijiyay inuu ka diiday dalabka ah in khilaafkan lagu dhameeyo sulux, hase ahaatee uu Madaxweynaha ku adkeystay inuu xafiiska ka tago Ra'iisul Wasaaraha. Warar la helayo ayaa sheegaya in Ra'iisul wasaaraha ay saaran yihiin cadaadis xoogan oo la sheegay in xubno beesha caalamka ku saarayaan inuu is casilo, maadaama isaga iyo Madaxweynaha aanay wada shaqeyn karin.
