Naxar Nugaaleed Posted November 11, 2013 there needs to be constitutional amendment, these quasi presidential/parliamentary system is not working. If the president can appoint a pm he should be able to fire as well. at this specific situation, the president should've gone straight to the Parliament to initiate a vote of confidence, clearly he knows he does not have an authority to dismiss the pm. Homunculus Posted November 11, 2013 The president shouldn't have the power to fire the prime minister in a parliamentarian system, that's the job of the Parliament. He shouldn't even initiate the process of firing the PM if we want any balance of power in the future. if you want the president to control everything in the federal government then dispense of this useless ceremonial position (prime minister) and let's have a true representative system where the president is a member of the parliament and so are the cabinet and they are all voted by their constituents (in the future, i know it's impossible at the moment but the current structure is too vague for my liking). Xaaji Xunjuf Posted November 11, 2013 In the Somali way of understanding governing systems the man with the big head controls everything Madax Weynow.
Dalmar1 Posted November 11, 2013 Its confirmed. Farmaajo to name new Cabinet. Saacid could't get enough Votes from the Di.r and Digil iyo Mirifle on how his gov't handled the Jubba Issue. Farmaajo Would increase the Number of Ministers. It makes no different polically as they believe in the samething and Farmaajo was the Personal advisor of Saacid. I guess Somalis just like new faces.
