Captains are playing the popstar's hits at full volume to deter 'western culture-hating' pirates and stop them boarding the ships, merchant navy officer Rachel Owens revealed to the Metro. Classic hits Baby One More Time and Oops! I Did It Again are being used and have proved effective at stopping kidnap attempts from bandits. DoctorKenney Posted October 30, 2013 I'm not sure if this is actually real news, or it's satire... How dumb are these Navy Captains? Wouldn't it be a good idea to at least know your enemy? This isn't even a cultural battle, the pirates aren't the religious type. They're just men who want money, I wouldn't be surprised if these pirates regularly listened to american rap music anyway.
