MoonLight1 Posted October 26, 2013 The ethnic composition includes, Somali 95.6% , Oromo 2.25%, Amhara 0.69%, and Somalians 0.63% , and Guragie 0.14%. I found this official data from the Federal Government of Ethiopia's website, very strange. what do they mean Somali & Somalian? http://www.ethiopia.gov.et/en_GB/statesomali
Safferz Posted October 26, 2013 When I saw the link was from the Ethiopian government, I assumed it would be the distinction between Somali nationals and ethnic Somalis (like those in kilika shanaad, who are citizens of Ethiopia). But they say ethnicity here, so it makes no sense.
Mahiigaan Posted October 26, 2013 Somali and Somalians and Somaligna is only found in the Tigray mindset. Other than that, there are only Somalis in the Somali Peninsula, period.
Saalax Posted October 26, 2013 Somalians they mean people from Somalia (displaced refugees). If you haven't noticed there is a certain refugee camps in Ethiopia for displaced Somalis from south Somalia as such the one in Kebri Bayax.
