NGONGE Posted June 21, 2010 ^^ Doesn't matter what Brazil likes, saaxib. It's all about what Ivory Coast likes. They players Sven has like to attack and are best when attacking. If you lock them up with a game plan that requires endless defending, you take away from their natural instinct of attacking. Besides, defending against that Brazil side plays right into their hands. Did you see how far Lucio was getting? In fact, the Brazil defence was actually playing as midfielders for large parts of the game!
Abtigiis Posted June 21, 2010 Waa runtaa Ngonge. Norf, if Dindane and Kalou struggle and could not cross, don't you think Brazil midfield and defence gets some credit?
N.O.R.F Posted June 21, 2010 ^Half of it was down to their misplaced passes. They got into good positions on numerous occassion but lacked the guile to fashion an opportunity. Oh, but Drogba was still on the half way line defending
Polanyi Posted June 21, 2010 All of the African teams( especially ghana went they gained the man advantage) could have done better over the weekend if there used better tactics. more problems in the england camp, lol: http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2890/world-cup-2010/2010/06/21/1987044/world-cup-2010-fabio-capello-g ags-england-rebels-at-team-meeting-
Dhagax-Tuur Posted June 21, 2010 Ciise Xayaatu - the head of CAF - said, it would be a tragedy if there are no at least two African teams in the knockout stage of the WC. Guess what, it is likely that there will be none. And it is all down to Xayaatu and his effing ilk because of their corrupted ways they run football and sports in general in Africa. It suits you. And now they won't be able to pressure FIFA to allow Africa to keep the sixth team for the next wc because of this result. Hurray.

Oh, but Drogba was still on the half way line defending I really wonder what games you watch, saaxib. Ivory Coast were all back to their own half whenever Brazil had the ball. Adigu you need to stop following the ball and try sometimes to see what else the camera captures dee. Now, if your attacks are starting from your own half and your best forward is just about to run forward, he has a long way to go saaxib. No through balls can find him, no long balls can fall to him in dangerous areas. This is why when the IC sub striker (Gurvinho or something) ran with the ball, it suddenly looked like a great attack (even though he messed it up). His run allowed his team mates to run with him and make the Brazil defence panic. Wax fahan.
N.O.R.F Posted June 21, 2010 Haye We were obviously watching different games. Waar heedhe, how many times did Dindane and Kalou get into good positions in the final third and mess it up? Forget tactics, forget Sven and forget Drogba. The whole world could see what I saw. No service. Yaya Toure was also guilty.
Abtigiis Posted June 21, 2010 The North Koreans are down by 4-0. They adopted an open game buoyed by their display against Brazil. They are ripped apart. Brazil can and will beat Portugal. But with this result, it looks there will be no incentive to play tough. Unless Spain wins today and one of the two teams play to avoid them.
NGONGE Posted June 21, 2010 Half chances Norf, half decent positions that EVERY team gets in a game. Your argument is that there was no service and I am explaining to you why, badow yaho. Brazil were also in decent positions and their players (from Kaka to Lucio) messed up several passes. This is not the argument. The argument is that IC did not create enough and they did not becuase of the shape of the team and Sven's insistance on playing counterattacking football against THIS Brazilian team. Wax fahan. Abtigiis Posted June 21, 2010 Portugal 7-0. North Koreans not coping with the pace. Portugal improved a lot in this tournament, but it will be a mistake to read too much into this exploits. Against Brazil, they will seize up to what they are. A poor side.
