Toronto man charged after suspicious package evacuates Prime Minister’s Office

TORONTO — A Toronto man has been charged with uttering threats after the building that houses the office of Prime Minister Stephen Harper was evacuated hours before the throne speech.

 

Mohamoud Jimale, 45, allegedly arrived at the Langevin Building in Ottawa on Wednesday morning and claimed he had a bomb inside his briefcase, according to the charge sheet.

 

“Shortly after the incident happened the male was apprehended at the Langevin Building in relation to this,” said RCMP Cpl. Lucy Shorey, who said the threat was directed at a security guard.

The charges gave his home address as 2100 Weston Rd., Toronto, the site of the Humberview Housing Co-op. A woman there, who did not want to be identified, said Mr. Jimale lived in a three-bedroom unit with his wife.

 

Together they collect $3,000 a month in welfare for themselves and their seven children, she said. She said on Tuesday he had become angry when the co-op asked him to provide proof that his children still lived in Canada.

Looks like he was upset over being asked to provide proof. 7 kids at the age of 45yrs old? What a liar.....he was probably defrauding the welfare system and goes into narcissistic rage when asked to show proof. Damn entitlement mentality.

Should've gotten 7 Somali kids off the streets, offered each of them $100 and showed to 'em. The people who work at the welfare offices are so dysfunctional and inefficient, they would've never caught up to him. Would've saved him all the trouble if he thought about it more thoroughly.
