The United States of America Welcomes the Decision of the Somalia Government on Syria

September 11, 2013

The U.S. Special Representative for Somalia, James McAnulty, welcomes the decision of the Federal Government of Somalia to join 33 other nations in supporting the September 6 Joint Statement on Syria. “Somalia has shown great leadership on the issue of chemical weapons, acceding to the Chemical Weapons Convention on May 29, 2013 and becoming the 189th State Party to that landmark agreement”, stated the Special Representative.

Somalia is in proud company with many of its Arab League and Organization of the Islamic Conference partners in condemning the brutality of the Assad regime in its horrifying chemical attack on the people of Damascus.

As the world prepares to gather in Brussels for a key international conference on establishing a new framework for the reconstruction of Somalia, President Hassan Sheikh has demonstrated great leadership and statesmanship in joining the world’s leading nations in demanding a strong international response in Syria.

Af da'boolan dahab waaye qofkii yiri xiligaan oo kale uu ula jeeday oo ay ku haboontahay in gebi ahaanba la iska aamuso.

Laakiin Turkiga iyo Sacuudiga ayaa u hadlooyo, dowlad Soomaaliyeed tabar ay ku hadasho xataa ma heysee.

Teeda kale Soomaali badan ma'oga Suuriya in uu ahaa dalka kaliya ee Carbeed Soomaalida bilaa dalkugal ku gali jireen intii buburka dalka galay, daryeel caafimaad iyo mid waxbarasho bilaash ka heli jireen. Reer Suuriya aad ayee Soomaalida u soo dhaweysay. Mana istaahilaan in saan loogu abaalgudo. Laakiin dowlad iskeeda u taagan oo awood leh meesha kama jirto oo dadweynaha Soomaaliyeed u hadasho.

You HAGGERS crack me up, well do you believe Siyad Barre was killing HAG and bombing Hargeisa? Why do you people always support dictators but don't give a second thought on Siyad Barre?

Besides Somalia's opinion doesn't matter. They just follow their biggest donation givers: Saudi Arabia, Turkey and UN.

CB, I don't think. I know. I don't think military action that hasn't worked in other middle Eastern Nations would work in Syria. Yet these strikes would do two things. One, register with the big eared ***** in Damascus that the use of Chemical weapons is not acceptable. Two, force him to the negotiating table. The only way forward is for this man to step down. In can either be done civilly, or like Khadafi and Saddam, Also, if this fool negotiates with the macquul faction of the rebels, they can isolate those qaeda members. Came what may, there is a need to step up efforts to support the free Syrian Army. Where does Somalia fit into this? clearly we won't be any help in any sense of the word but we can at least register our moral indignation and support efforts to stop this man.

The Chemical attacks have false flag written all over them. American government doesn't really care about civilian deaths. They have history of using chemical weapons themselves. That being said, I support the efforts of the FSA.

100,000 dead and they spoke up when 1000 were allegedly killed with chemical weapons. Watch this video.

They are shook to get involved that's why Obama is letting congress vote so that he can blame them when shit goes south.

Obama's red line during protests - don't kill protestors. Assad did. Then: don't bomb cities. Assad did. Then: don't target refugees and medical centers. Assad did. Last red line was no chemical weapons: Assad did.

Assad is feel comf. with Russia and Iran on his side. Prick wouldnt survive a week without these two.

You have two groups in Syria FSA and Islamists led ISIS which stands for Islamic State of Iraq and Sham. The FSA were the ones that defected from the military and started operations. The ISIS then came from Iraq to help the cause. But they are getting stronger by the day.

And the FSA is getting weaker due to lack of funds.

The alawites are 10% of the population. they have ruled syria since independence almost. they feel entitled to rule. they have to kill more to stay leveled with the Sunnis because Sunnis are 80% of the population. it is tragic that Somalis on this forum are supporting this asad xayawan who is killing his own people 100,000 people indiscriminately.

Kudos to the federal government of Somalia,

as a nation we owe the children of Syria more than a mere support of air strikes against the Assad regime.
