Dr_Osman Posted September 5, 2013 Anigu waan ka baqi jiray arinkan. The SFG parliamentarians and government are very susceptible to bribery, especially the MPS who are not paid well. This would be a devastating blow to Somali midnimo because the MPS would put this seccession motion before parliament and everyone would vote in favour for somaliland's seccession. The GOVT then has to execute the policy and officially recognise Somaliland. All for what? a few dollars. Wa ariin aan aad ugu baqi jiray and it appears this option is on the table for the rebels in hargaysa. I am also not a big fan of Puntland and Somaliland talks. Because if Puntland gives up sool and sanaag that is a definite defeat to the state, where-as right now it's still considered Puntland territory so taking it back isn't completely off the table, especially if the unity of the country is in question. Basically, Puntland would be the only check and balance to reject the SFG and get the international community involved and say this seccession motion is unconstitutional and the SFG must be impeached for not abiding by the constitution. In all honesty, For any of Somaliland's seccession plans to be successful they need to make sure Puntland is silenced so they don't protest it to the international community nor destabilise the region and that is why I am not in favour of any talks between the states because they could possibly get that outcome.
