Dr_Osman Posted September 2, 2013 That's nonsense. There is nothing that looks 200 million about somaliland budget. Look at theyre soldiers they rag-tags with equipment from nearly a century ago

Look at theyre soldiers they rag-tags with equipment from nearly a century ago abti, ONLY $200mn? that's disappointing walahi. only an increase of $26mn and a meagre 13%. if the budget was consistent with the astonishing economic growth in the private sector then it should've grown by 200% or something. Samaale is incompetent. he's useless and ought to be fired immediately. NOTHING impressive about $200mn. Taiwan has a lot more.
Dr_Osman Posted September 2, 2013 Alphy if somaliland has a budget of 20 million I would be suprised. They're port isn't exactly a bread winner and at best one ship is there at all times. Bosaso port is way more active and generates way more revenue. U can tell just by the pictures. Berbera one ship. Bosaso 100s. There is no 200 million its 20 million at best. No external source verifies this budget except somaliland shenanigans. Besides if they're is 200 million budget hadee way ina muqata niyahow layskama sheeg sheegto figures wa inay macqul ahadan halkee bay ka soo gasha? meesha ugu muhimsan waa dekada iyo berbera siday uu eek tahay adeer macaane waanu wada og nahay...200 million iguma aqrinaysid
Alpha Blondy Posted September 2, 2013 ^ i don't pay tax. so add lack of tax revenues to your list, abti. i'm sick and tired of SL's failures being dressed up as successes thanks to Big Silaanyo's spin doctors and propaganda machine. inaar, meesha waxba lagu ma hayo, ma garatay? this Govt has failed miserably. this idea of we deserve runs deep through the psyche of SL. i'm sorry to say but SL doesn't deserve anything, including recognition. it's not working hard enough. it's happy to fail. it's content with the way things are. Dr_Osman Posted September 2, 2013 Yo Alphy. Puntland's whole GDP is around the 1.7 billion mark how is it possible somaliland has a govt budget of 200 million? We need facts and figures supported and funded by international bodies like UNDP to verify and support these outrageous claims. Ma carur bay na moodeen mise dadka hargaysa jaadka ku suxan? Puntland's whole GDP(economy not just budget) is around $1.7 billion in 2010. Probably an extra $68 million if we maintained a steady growth of 1.35% over 3 years, now this is based on a population of 3.9 million. A Puntland citizen GDP Per capita is around $1700 in 2010. The purchasing power of a citizen is also seen because a cup of tea in Puntlands costs 3000 shillings and 1 dollar is exchanged for 30000 shillings. You can see how far a dollar can go in the economy there especially for the locals. Basically is Siciid trying to tell me Somaliland who has one ship at best at berbera and no economic activity that can come even close to Bosaso has a bigger budget? This is considering the port is the biggest bread winner of all states. What's next Camels will be flying in the doomed rebel enclave. Give me a break and take that nonsense to Garoodi and Xajigu not to a Puntlander. http://www.researchgate.net/publication/235009352_Ministry_of_Planning_and_International_Cooperation/file/9fcfd51061b61f2724.pdf
Dr_Osman Posted September 2, 2013 Alphy, there is no point exploring a budget untill we determine what the GDP is of Somaliland which is quite hidden for obvious reasons

But puntland is the biggest joke... Hahah 1.7 billion what's your phd in?? St@pidity studies ..??? Hahaha Alpha.. Understand that in Africa taxation is variable. SOMALILAND from what I understand doesn't have income tax for the masses which is the bulk of nations bread and butter. They tax many things and I agree with you that it should surpass 200 million. However the reality is year on year growth. Some money will be lost because wa Africa and wages are low but continued growth in taxation and wealth generation and circulation of wealth within the country is the way forward. We need to stop exporting hard currency for things that we can produce at home and that will take time.
