Somalia'gangrape' investigated by African Union

The African Union force in Somalia has said it is investigating an alleged gang rape involving its troops in the capital, Mogadishu.

 

A Somali woman has alleged she was abducted, drugged and repeatedly raped earlier this month by officers from the national army and the AU force.

 

The allegation has caused outrage in Mogadishu, and there have been protests by women activists.

 

Rights groups says rape and sexual abuse is a growing problem in Somalia.

Kidding aside. well the first problem i see is that the MP for "Human rights & women" is a MAN :rolleyes: & of course, as long as we deem such issues as affecting "women only" we'll continue to see such issues continue; while our men are busy building "daaro", mercenaries, Army, football stadiums, Prisons (that look like professional buildings but IDP camps that look like canteens) et cetera.

So the very same people who gang-raped the woman are investigating the rape, Allaahu Akbar, and what will their findings be: "she is lying" like the SFG said the woman one soldier raped in the camp.
