The Problem is not the federal constitution the problem is not Foreign troops, its the Clan Problem

Recommended Posts

For the first time on TV they talk about it very open and where the problem lies. Somalis always try to hide the core problem but right now they are honest and tell it like it is. Now we are getting some where and problems can be solved.

Nonsense. Our clan system is blameless in our misfortunes. The real problems are lack of education and poverty.

Our clans are our culture and the collective essence of Somalis. We've had clans since the dawn of time and it gave us a way to know each other and live with one another.

But many countries have those as well, yet they are not at each others throats perpetually like somalis.

Which is precisely why it's not our clan system.
:D

Clannism led to the abuse of power and injustice, clanism led to the etempt to exterminate entire groups of people and reward others, clanism led to the death of millions across the nation and a civil war based on clanish interest, clanism led to the current kismayo issue and the permanent peralysis of the Somalian state.

Without clanism or clanish agenda or clanish desires Somalis would not be in this mess. It will remain until we can create a structure to control it.

You haven't got a shred of evidence to back up such broad and meaningless generalizations. So go back to the drawing board and come up with something more substantive!

Really? Clan is not a problem? WAW! There it is. If Clan is not a problem Somalia's nascent democracy would not have been replaced by military dictatorship. if Clan is not a problem the head of the state of that junta would not divide the country into 18 region so that he can give his clans more territory and his government would not have come to be known with the MOD government. It would not have committed such an abuse of power to the point where the country disintegrated into hell hole. It would not have been replaced by a mop rule and Mogadishu would not have suffered the worst ethnic cleansing, robbery and massacre in it's 2000 year history. Southern Somalia wouldn't have suffered it's worst man made famine in history. Kismayo would not be fought over and over repeatedly and enemies of Somalia wouldn't have occupied through out southern Somalia and they would not rule indirectly the rest. Puntland would not cause so much headache for all of Somalia and they wouldn't have said it us or no peace. the same goes for those from the central region of Somalia. Somali-land would not secede and claim to be a country full of fake history and lies. Djibouti would not be a separate country, Uganda and mercenaries wouldn't rule the capital of Somalia, Western Somalia wouldn't be called O-gaden and some it's sons would try to invade their brother homeland and claim to be their while forgetting their old adversaries, the same goes for those from NFD. Today the words like "Land" "HAG" etc and letters like "P" would not be part of our vocabulary and alphabets. Lets be honest we wouldn't be discussing about federal system if it was not for clan worshiping. Let's face it Somalis their gods are their clans, their prophets are their clan leaders and their mujaheddin are their ******** with the guns,, and their masses are the rest in line. After all that the worst came and are those fake religious messiah's that turned the religion of Islam into terror religion so that the few that were left amongst jahil masses can either leave or die, that way the country can be taken over by the devil himself and rule it. Those that deny any of that are either munafiqiin or in a dream. If you are in a dream wake up and wake up soon. If you are a munaafaq, repent and repent soon or one you will die and stand in front of your creator, and there will be a judgement. Ask yourself what do you think is going to happen to you? To conclude this message is for all those divisions, foreign order and protection, and fake religiosity aka Shabaab, Salafis, Alqaeda, Wahabis, Ahlu Suna, and etc.

War waxaas waxba kama jiraan. All the issues you've listed have their root cause in the colonial era.

Our clan system existed way before the colonialists came to our lands, and back then the sort of calamities you've listed never used to happen. Have you ever asked yourself why?

When the colonialists came to our country, they found a nation of nomad tribes living peacefully among one another and who had developed a system of governance that worked for them. So to get a foothold into our country, they adopted the divide and conquer rule, by dividing us through preferential treatment of certain tribes to sow discord amongst us. And after we supposedly "gained independence", they did not allow us to revert back to our old ways of living. They created a government modeled in their image, which they gave tremendous power to rule, and of course to further sow mistrust they did not ensure equality in it, knowing full well that we would fight over it, each tribe wanting to gain control of that power for fear that the others might do so before they did. It's been downhill ever since with the poverty and lack of education exacerbating things...

Marka saaxiib, the problem was started by the colonialists and continues to persist thanks to the same "former " colonialists who still meddle in our affairs. But I don't blame them, because a man has a right to look out for his self-interest, and in this particular case, they deem it in their interest to always have power and control over us. Heck, if I was in their shoes I'd do the same...:D

the real problem actually is the lack of regional development. development, commerce and populations are strongly concentrated in the core. those in the periphery are also heading towards the urban centres. this is a ''ticking time bomb''.

political correctness is a problem as well (promotion of Clan greed to the detriment of other clans). another problem is the lack of quality leadership (we need more of the cheetah generation sort of leaders...... see this clip

for George Ayittey's strong argument). outsiders meddling in the internal affairs of Somalis is also a problem (UNSOM particularly). INGOs/NGOs and international monetary organisations are at least 15% of the 'Somali Problem'. that's what I think.

Tallaabo

The biggest cause of the Somali people's downfall is their utter disregard for Islam and its values. Without Islamic values one is capable of doing anything.

It's the stupit clan....can you be mayor, governor,or in most cases reside other towns out of your sphere in today's Somalia with the exception of Mogadishu, but then again you only can live here and won't be able to be part of the local establishment. Those denying that fact can't see thru the day before.sometimes I feel amongst aliens in SOL.
