MoonLight1 Posted June 20, 2013 Waxaa maanta (Khamiis) uu dagaal xoogleh markii ugu horeysay ka dhacay bartamaha magaalada Barawe halkaasi oo ay ku dagaalameen labo kooxood oo ka wada tirsan kooxda Al Shabaab. Dagaalkan ayaa la sheegay inay ku dhinteen tiro dad ah oo u badan kooxihii dagaalamayey, waxaanse weli jirin illo madax banaan oo xaqiijin kara khasaaraha rasmiga ah ee dagaalkaasi ka dhashay. Dagaalkan ayaa la sheegay inuu ka dhex bilowday labo kooxood oo qaarkood yihiin Ajaanib ka tirsan Al Shabaab kuwaasi oo hubka noocayadiisa kala duwan isu adeegsaday. Al shabaab ayaan weli ka hadlin dagaalka maanta ka dhacay Barawe, xili uu kusoo beegmayo maalin kadib weerarkii shalay lala beegsaday xarunta UNDP ee magaalada Muqdisho, weerarkaasi oo ay fuliyeen dagaalyahano ka tirsan Al Shabaab. Warar soo baxaya ayaa sheegaya in dagaalkan u dhaxeeyo ciidamo kawada tirsan Al Shabaab oo kala taageersan Hogaamiyaasha sare ee Al Shabaab oo muddooyinkan danbe ku kala aragti duwanaa siyaasada hogaaminta kooxda Al Shabaab. Magaalada Baraawe ayey ku sugan yihiin xubno ay kamid yihiin Xassan Daahir Aweys, Ibraahim Afghaani iyo xubno kale oo dhawaan soo saaray qoraal ku socda madaxa Al Qaida oo lagu cambaareenayo siyaasada hogaamiyaha Al Shabaab Axmed Godane. Waxaa muddooyinkii lasoo dhaafay soo baxayey khilaaf u dhaxeeya qaar kamid ah Ajaanibta loo yaqaan Muhaajiriinta iyo qaar kamid ah madaxda sare ee Al shabaab, khilaafkaasi oo keenay iska horimaadyo dhowr ah oo bishii lasoo dhaafay ka dhacay gobalka Galgaduud, Bay iyo Jubada Dhexe. Dagaalka maanta ka dhacay magaalada Barawe ee ka tirsan gobalka Shabeelada Hoose ayaan la aqoon wuxuu salka ku hayo. Wixii war ah oo arrintan kusoo kordha dagaal baan idiinka soo tabin doonaa haduu eebo idmo. Horseed Media

Wadani Posted June 20, 2013 Y not? Besides the inevitable civilian toll, I see no other downside to having these troglodytes wipe each other out.
xiinfaniin Posted June 20, 2013 ^They will not wipe each other out...this just exacerbates the already bad situation. This kind of infighting will only result in the emergence of more extremist wings, and it decentralizes the organization in a way that will make next to impossible for future negotiations (which will be inevitable in my opinion). Gheelle.T Posted June 20, 2013 May the lesser of the two evil side wins. lol Knowing how crazy they are, they will fight to the teeth and weaken each other. That's good news for the government and the others who are fighting them.
Wadani Posted June 20, 2013 Xiin, I'd rather have a weakened shabaab that has splintered into various factions, than a relatively strong and united one. Negotiations with the government would have resulted in differences between them anyway, so much better that the process is expedited.
xiinfaniin Posted June 20, 2013 ^I am thinking the Algerian experience ---the civil war was prolonged partly because of the fact so many splinter groups existed with no central command committing gruesome atrocities
Tillamook Posted June 21, 2013 Rubbish. Let them wipe each other out.
