Mr. Somalia Posted October 5, 2009 ^^ ^^ A crushing and convincing victory over Liverpool has secured our top spot once again. It was a good performance and helped the team put last week's Wigan disaster out of our minds. You know Ancilotti is doing a great job and he makes the team play attractive attacking football, so I'm not too concerned about our away games so long as we remain tactically adept at scoring goals. BLUES FOR LIFE!!!!!!!!!
Oz Posted October 5, 2009 ^^ We did it all with a centre-forward clearly playing with at least a triple-fracture of both legs...awesome It's very easy to turn a blind eye to his crap when he's playing well though, at least JT had a word 2nd half. Remmember Last season we lost against Liverpool, then followed by Scolari being sucked! I just thought Carra, Torres, Riera, Kuyt and co were sh1te today, also I thought Essien was outstanding for Chelsea, he is a great player, Lucas v Essien its no brainer really, while lucas might become a good player he is never going to be on a level with players like essien. Sure the pressure at the back from Terry, Ricky and Cole was especially good but there was no finesse about Liverpool whatsoever and once we had the first and they had to commit - it was always going to be a risk with our 2 strikers still on. It's not just about winning titles I suppose, cause that's a hard task these days but showing an inability to correct the squads failings and appearing to be getting worse... is it reasonable to accept a decline in quality or will the team recover? Let's face it, you look through the Liverpool squad and it doesn't look good enough to win the title. Even before the defence went to shit the massively obvious squad depth problem wasn't addressed in pre season. You could talk about money but two 17m + players were brought in. norf, you guys rarely get anything from the bridge anyway, even when Chelsea are shit they used to roll you guys over, Just put a bad week behind and move on. WingA, Let's give him a chance me think.
Abtigiis Posted October 5, 2009 Benitez is the problem. Can't take risk, waa fulay. He should have approached the game differently. How many times do I tell people with in the age of Mascherano, there is no hope for Liverpool. The team needs combative as well as creative holding midfielder. All the way Gunners!!!!!! Win or lose, you are assured of a cracking game!
N.O.R.F Posted October 5, 2009 Rafa is the problem. He was the problem last year when we had all those draws at home. Too cautious.
Abtigiis Posted October 5, 2009 The guy has no confidence. He panicks in big games. You know why he changed his formations. Apparently he was busy watching how Wigan beat Chlesea and tried to emulate them. He should have brought Benayoun from the start, must give more change to Aurelio who is good from set-pieces, and look on how to blend Agger in the midfield instead of the useless duo of Mascherano and Lukas. Mascherano is the problem. Bal ninkaasoo wax tarya idinku ii sheega. Dadkoo la ledgo Gatusso ayaa wax ku qaadi waayey.
Oz Posted October 5, 2009 Has Rafa had as much money to spend as Chelsea and Utd? Was the squad he inherited as good as Chelsea's or Utd's? These are the questions you need to ask yourself. Remember Rafa has also out performed Wenger winning more trophies and higher league positions, since he took over. No complaints about the result. We took our chances, you guys didn't. Expect Agger and Aquilani to make a difference once fit.
Abtigiis Posted October 5, 2009 What is good about Chelsea squad ya OZ? They barely could pass the ball, old farts who are overrated. From Terry to Drogba, they are average. You will see ho they fare against better attacking teams. You will see! There is no single chelsea player with the talent of Benayoun.
Abtigiis Posted October 5, 2009 BBC's Sport editor, Phil Mcnulty "Mascherano and Lucas is a creative vacuum as a central partnership and Liverpool needed more, and will need more."
