Mogadishu-Gaalkacyo highway to be rebuilt again

They give the central government no access to their regions and they don't support the President and they want to come and cry about how Muqdisho doesn't invest in their shanty towns.

 

Not a red cent will be given to those who attempt to undermine the government. Not a penny will go towards their development when they are causing problems for the central government.

 

I applaud this government for focusing only the areas that matters.

You're not helping. The guy is not president for life, his term will end in few years and this project most likely will not start by then, they could've said that they'd rebuild from Kismayo to Galkayo or Garowe and built from Mogadishu to Gaalkacyo only. You've to know how to placate people even if you give them nothing.

So typical of HAG mentality and the astonishing simplemindedness that accompanies of not being able to conform to a previously agreed terms. First you should read the constitution up close, there is no such a thing called a central government in somalia and it is not even stated in the adulterated version of the constitution. Secondly the current system of government in somalia is a federal system as accepted internationally and also locally by much of the regions.

That being said, the federal system mandates that the government should distribute all aid and developments accordingly. Every region should receive their fair share and this is what Culusow is unable to comperhend or perhaps refuses to do so intently. This is not only limited to aid and development and there are also range of other issues that Culusow is refusing to work with all other respective entities.

 

So far No region have refused to work with the government in fact it is the federal government that is refusing to abide the constitution and respect all the signed accords by it's predecsor admins.

The part between Galkacyo and Garowe has been recently rehabilitated. No need to tribalise everything.

this is just another chapter of culusow's HAG agenda exposed, Puntland lived through hard and soft times without any help and it will do it again.begging the world in my name and investing it in one area is just unacceptable.

Thank you, it's great to know stuff like this, but I still keep hearing that most development money is concentrated in Mogadishu, do you think that is wise?

Good question. There has been hardly any invest or development in Mogadishu in the last 23 years. It was even to unsafe for NGO/UN to visit, till the last year or so. Where Somaliland and Puntland where peaceful enough for NGOs and the respective governments to work on development projects in the last decade or so. So I think its fair the government focuses for now on Mogadishu and gradually on the rest of Somalia.

 

P.S. Of the 90 districts of Somalia, 16 are in Mogadishu where Puntland has only 11 or 12 districts. So you cant compare Banadir region with any other Province or City of Somalia. Waa Muyaradiii Dalka.

Puntland was not build with development money that was destined for whole of Somalia, but only Puntland. Mogadishu-based government can't build Mogadishu in the name of the Somali people and Somalia as it is a ruined tribal city where 15 out of 16 districts are part are governed by HAG.

Mogadishu is the undivided capital of the Somali people. Its the home and birth place of millions of Somalis, from all kind of diffeent clans and walks of life. Among them yours truly.

 

Nonetheless it is un acceptable and a farce that the capital of the nation is politicly dominated by one single clan.

Even Hargeysa, the second capital, has a Governor from Sool region.
