Chimera Posted June 7, 2013 Major port in Somalia and the Horn, largest urban hub in Puntland. This city has crazy potential. If the same urban planning and development that transformed Muscat was introduced to Bosaso, in the form of parks, as well as extensive cobblestone alleys and roads, this city would be a stunner! http://www.flickr.com/photos/80183893@N02/

Tallaabo Posted June 7, 2013 I don't know why, but somehow I have always liked Boosaaso since childhood. Even its name appealed to me;)

In Somalia, we should categorize our urban planning specifically under the term child infrastructure: nurseries, schools, playgrounds, fun-fairs, maternity hospitals, etc. Somali cities also need more staples of culture in the form of libraries, malls, cinemas, theatres, swimming pools, stadiums, otherwise the country is just a mild version of the Walking Dead, the zombies replaced with clannists.
