There were many atrocities committed by the British between 1904-1922 in the eastern parts of what used to be the British Somaliland, the Dervish community in the west and home should mobilize and bring a case against the British empire which killed thousands of its ancestors.

Few dead British men may be your only solace, but remember you didn't invade and rape their lands as they did to your land. So, of course, the Dervishes do have a genuine claim. It's expected this case will open the gate for floods of other suits from all over the world. An offshoot of Mau Mau rebellion are already filing a case in Hague next week.

We are yet to get even an apology from the Kenyan government for the myriad violations they inflicted us, despite years of court struggles ee iskaba daa ingriisku oo the sole injustice they did is the forceful inclusion of NFD to Kenya. But the whole border demarcation in the scramble of Africa was a mess.

People most of the time do not wish to be victims , but all of Africa became victim of European colonialism. And as proud humans no one wants to claim he or she was defeated by a foreign group.

Pride is a forgone trait, at least in the Somali society.

Not true Somalis are still very very proud, although they dont have much to be proud of they still are proud for some reason. So no one will accept defeat, tribal pride is also very present in Somali society.

And what does that tell you? We're free Kenyans with equal rights like everyone else? Us Somalis in NEP have to stop lying to ourselves. Kenya does NOT serve our interests (I'm not calling for a rebellion so calm yourself down). We need to take our own future in our hands by milking this new county system to the limit and somehow try and bring the control of the local police into our hands. And oh yeah, we need to dispose of the Old Guard (your Kunnows, Duq Maxamuuds & et al).
