Safferz Posted May 31, 2013 Well, almost mid-year. How are those New Year's resolutions coming along, people? Or goals you've set for yourself for 2013? My resolutions: 1) distance myself from or cut off unhealthy/toxic people - yes 2) get my summer body back - LOLOLOL 3) get an oud and learn to play - working on it 4) overall commitment to self-care (ie. sleep 8 hours a night, drink more water, etc) - somewhat 5) cook more often - fail 6) host people for get togethers at my apartment more often - somewhat 7) use reference management software to keep track of my reading and citations - fail 8) win at least one research grant to travel this summer - BALLIN' 9) start training for a half-marathon in spring 2014 - to be resumed after epic research trip Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

EndNote is by far the most popular in universities, but I've been trying to use Sente since I'm a Macbook and iPad user and I like how it syncs across both devices (and it looks nicer). Basically what all of these different programs do is allow you to generate bibliographies (and cite as you write), organize PDF libraries and research notes, annotate documents, etc. I'm probably the only grad student in the world who does all of this manually, and I've been meaning to start using one of these programs so I can have a more organized workflow. Haatu Posted June 1, 2013 I never bother setting goals but I've had just two goals these past two years: - Get the grades to get into the course I want to.
