You Are Briteesh? We Want to Say Sorry

Thanks for posting that.

What you've missed is how even the local, indigenous elders of Borama agree with the 'independence of Somaliland'.

So much for the 'virtual' Awdal State holding non-ending parties in the capitals of Western countries with large Somali refugee populations................

I'm not sure what you read, but I read the words of self-hating, racist morons apologizing to their former British masters for their freedom and independence. Embarrassing.

Aside from few jabs at the south, the two Awdal guys just said they made a mistake uniting with the

south. That is right, it was a mistake that was later corrected at 1991.

Safferz Independence was good, but uniting with Somalia was the most biggest mistake Somaliland ever made and Somalilanders ever did they were naive and they thought you could unite people just based on a common language. They found out the reality the hard way what is wrong to tell the brits that the brits were right when the brits suggested to remain separate in 1960 they were right. i preferred that, all the wars for liberation could have been avoided.

Turn your secessionist blinders off for a moment and actually read the text instead of projecting content that isn't there. This is colonial nostalgia, these ****** are saying Somaliland was better off under British tutelage than anything else, then casting a racist gaze towards their fellow Somalis in the south.

PS - The British did not advise the former British Somaliland not to join the south, in fact it was the former Italian Somaliland's scheduled independence that precipitated nationalist activity in the north and led to their independence. But that's an entirely different discussion.

This is mockery...But considering two true Nomads with their macawiis bakoorad and sandals speaking English he should be flattered....

They just highlighted how different they were. The southerners were under Italy and knew Mafia culture,

eating spaghetti etc. Were's the people of Somaliland had justice, rule of law. It was never going to be

A happy marriage, hence Somaliland and Somalia were better off going their separate ways as

independent states and not uniting in 1960.

What do you know about decency when your "president" is protected by "foreign troops" as we write?
