xiinfaniin Posted April 26, 2013 ^^I don't have to do that , but one is informed about what is going on. Actually you will be surprised and in a rude awakening if you indeed believe the secession of Somaliland for no such thing will be happening anytime soon. I in principle have no problem if the 3 mothers are let go, but you started with the wrong foot and created a political stalemate where the Hargeysa hype talks about a parallel reality while on the ground the resolve against secession is strong as ever for certain stakeholders. malistar2012 Posted April 26, 2013 Jacpher Instead of desperately trying to play the divide and distract politics of the South, why not admit there is really no difference between Muqdisho, Boosaaso, Baydhabo, Marka, Gedo and Kismaayo on the idea of dismembering the country. They all want one thing, Somalia as one country. Somalia is one and shall remain so. Stop picking Muqdisho over Boosaaso or Gedo over Kismaayo. That's really a moot point. The one thing that unites them all is rejecting your secession movement. The one thing that unites them all is rejecting your secession movement Make No Mistake from Puntland to Xamar to LA Somali Borders and Sovereignty is not negotiable
malistar2012 Posted April 26, 2013 Somali Government should not have sat down with secessionist , That gave them credit and some sort of legitimacy....
STOIC Posted April 26, 2013 President Hassan has all the outside world financial and diplomatic backing. It would be interesting to see what concession he will give to Somaliland in this upcoming meeting.I'll resist drawing any obvious conclusion of what he is about to do, but it is clear that things will stay the same unless he is yielding to Somaliland secession (highly unlikely). He has gone to great length to be diplomatic and it seems he is acknowledging this is a matter that will involves all Somalis.Intaan Kaale Wa Siyassatii Bulacaadaaa as Profesor Samatar once said..Hooss Umbaa loo Socthaa..Anigaa reer Hebeel iyo Fatuush.... This is the historical milestone he did it. And if that talks collapsed then those legally given reality can't be wished away; and there will be no third party to elbow it's way to any talks between Somaliland and Somalia.. This means, if the talks fail then, we have acceptance of the international community that we were an entity call Somaliland that even Somalia has accepted it; and since the talks have failed, then each party will be free to seek it's destiny as it sees fit.. General caydiid was a man a head of his time, the only problem with him was he had the balls to rule and even had territorial control with out the Amisom forces. But his efforts were halted by diplomatic thievery in Djibouti. And a disorganized central committee of the USC. Brother hassan enjoys legitimacy, but he lacks the institutional functionality, and needs AU troops. Nevertheless its a legitimate government in the eyes of the western powers Europe United states. So i say let the talking continue i am sure , we came along way.
malistar2012 Posted April 26, 2013 Xaaji Xanuf President appeasement wont last long sxb , you talk about Mogadishu and Hargesa love but you wish to report to embassy in Ethiopia.
Xaaji Xunjuf Posted April 26, 2013 Its not about reporting its about diplomatic correctness ,since Somaliland is a defacto independent state. and its status as it is now it has to deal with the brits through their embassy in addis ababa. No one is appeasing the president of Somalia so far he is seen as a credible partner in dialogue President hassan. And the SL government will continue talking to him in order to clarify our future relations.
