Dhagax-Tuur Posted June 9, 2009 Ridiculous amount of money. I don't believe that he is worth that much. For me, he is not the most gifted player. He's average.

Senora Posted June 16, 2009 Madrid hasn't bought Villa yet...in fact, I dont think it will happen. Hopefully they cant sell their team off either to make up for the ridiculous amount they put for Kaka and Ronaldo. Barca looks to be getting Villa, but it may be at the expense of Eto'o. Ibrahimovic is also in the picture...It'll be a sad day when Eto'o leaves...

WingA Posted June 16, 2009 Manchester United are preparing to sign Gremio starlet Douglas Costa as a replacement for Real Madrid-bound Cristiano Ronaldo, according to the Brazilian's agent. GettyImages Gremio starlet Douglas Costa United's network of scouts have been tracking the 18-year-old attacking midfielder for the last two years, but the Premier League champions are now ready to make a firm offer. "They (Manchester United) have identified four or five possible replacements for Cristiano Ronaldo in the world, and Douglas is one of them," agent Cesar Bottega said. "We have been contacted by several clubs some time ago, including Manchester (United), but by South American ones as well." Douglas, who has received rave reviews in his homeland, has four years remaining on his contract with Gremio but reportedly has a £17.8m buyout clause. The diminutive U20 international is seen as one of the biggest up-and-coming talents in Brazil - alongside Santos winger Neymar and Palmeiras striker Keirrison - and is also a free-kick specialist. Costa generally plays through the centre but can also play on the left. Since an £80m fee was agreed with Real for Ronaldo, United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has stepped up his hunt for a suitable replacement. Wigan Athletic winger Antonia Valencia is also a target. Oz Posted July 6, 2009 ^^ Am glad he signed for a big club. WingA, You lost Ronaldo and Tevez to bring in Antonio Valencia and Michael Owen not to mention get rejected by next to all your targets. Chelsea have managed to complete a hat-trick of signings by landing CSKA Moscow forward Yuri Zhirkov, Manchester City forward Daniel Sturridge and Middlesbrough goalkeeper Ross Turnbull. " Other rumors are: Essiens agent said he would consider leaving? Am not so sure what's going on at Chelsea camp but something ain't right. Rumors on Arsenal are "Nobody at Arsenal wants to see Fabregas go but there comes a point when the money is too good to turn down. "If Arsenal receive a bid in the region of £40m there will be an enormous pressure to sell. Real and Barcelona are in the hunt for the Spaniard and appear certain to bid for him." who knows who Rafa wants to sign but Rafa himself!
WingA Posted July 6, 2009 Yeah, rejected then they choose Real.. what a shame but United are also looking at this guy from france.. Manchester United are leading the race to sign Girondins Bordeaux starlet Gabriel Obertan, according to the French Ligue 1 club. Gabriel Obertan: Bordeaux youngster The 20-year-old midfielder is regarded as one of France's brightest prospects and has been linked with a host of top clubs, including Inter Milan, AC Milan, Chelsea and Arsenal. But Bordeaux president Jean-Louis Triaud claims that the Red Devils are closest to signing the France U21 international. "There is a very strong likelihood that the deal will go ahead," Triaud told L'Equipe. "Manchester United want to sign him and, for our part, we would be delighted to see Gabriel playing for such a prestigious club. "We will make the official announcement when the time is right." The winger was loaned out to Lorient by Bordeaux boss Laurent Blanc for part of last season but has featured in les Girondins' first team since he was 17. He was awarded the Most Valuable Player award at last month's Toulon International Youth Tournament.
