Johnny B as always presents good argument. But that he does not understand Dr. Khalif's angle is a disappointment. Ali is a Khatumo rep in Somali Parliament. Talks about the fate of his region are being held by President Hassan and Siilaanyo, and no one consulted him about it. He says that is wrong. Johnny B's suggestion of voilance also misses the point for the era of strong man and militias are history in Somalia.

 

One thing I agree is that the talks are good step toward reaching a solution. and the both President Hassan and Siilaanyo are well advised to continue talking. Dr. Ali should also continue to advocate for the inclusion of Khatumo into these talks.

I think Khatumo should talk rather with Somaliland. Its Somaliland they have an issue with not Mogadishu.
