Listen for the word Jamhuriya.
:D

A clip from Turkish news, Ace? :) Stick to the actual (official) documents released by the parties involved.

Horta, what do expect the Turks to call Somaliland?

Xudun sees constant skirmishes and is under control of Sland with help of its forces.

Che, could we then deduce Somaliland does not control Buhoodle because the people who live there are against it. While in Lascanood and Xudun, Somaliland controls it because the people that live there despite some fighting have been overwhelmed? :D Also add this to your arithmetic, Cali Sandule was caught some where between Xuddun & Lascanood in his campaigning by Khaatumo forces. They let him go. Why? If this was a clan issue, they would have simply killed him. Surely they're not afraid of Somaliland. They're afraid from his community and supporters who would retaliate. Lets not sugar coat things. In Sool, the communities that want Somaliland hold the upper hand, and the communities who don't want Somaliland hold the upper hand in buhoodle. There is no clan wars in Somaliland, but a war of ideology. So far, Somaliland reclaiming its sovereignty is winning since it controls all of its capitals.

As for Turkey, I'd expect them to call Somaliland, lol Waqooyi Galbeed as our friend MMA calls it. :D LOL Unless of course things have changed. :D

Che, there is a reason why Sifir can one day be the Deputy Prime Minister of Somalia and an ambassador for Somaliland in Kenya. LOL You can't complete the circle with that idea of yours, otherwise we'd see a different story on the ground.

Che-Guevara, Somaliland's sovereignty is not a conflict between clans. It is a conflict between Unity and Sovereignty. To say otherwise is to trivialize the issue. I can understand why you'd want to reduce it to clans though.

The agreements at this meeting were no different to what Puntland signed with the PM. Move on boys Puntland is not impressed with this copycat meeting

Puntland doesn't need to meet with SFG anywhere outside Garowe. Waxas wa gobinimadeena iyo kalsoonida aanu isku hayno. It seems somaliland needs mediator hold your own down waryaa rather then having another country hold your hand like a wife to protect u from the SFG.

The DR is officially back UNLEASHING

Ace. When the Republic imploded, it didn't neatly crumble into North-South. These talks are good beginning but they falsely assume that there are only two Somalis whose reconciliation will result in lasting peace.

Che you are right that the implosion of the former republic did not result in a neat North-South divide because division was not the intention of any of the parties who were responsible for the downfall the republic. However, just like the Somaliland of today, the Somaliland of the 1950s was tribal and divided on unity. Their were political parties which opposed the union and campaigned against it. The majority of Somalilanders in the 1950s were unionists and so had the last say. But it was not tribes which negotiated the union, it was the careered politicians speaking in the name of Somaliland. And like the rest of the African continent and much of the wider world, Somaliland's borders are colonial and have international legitimacy.

Ditoore your enclave is a mere province of Somalia , your leaders agreed with culusow to have one central army, remember the last agreement saacid signed with faroole that army will be controlled from Xamar. Your prime minister visited his region and signed a deal with his province you were part of the road map you helped built this government but ditoore ,cabdi cawar got sidelined matter infact the Puntlanders lost their influence in Xamar.

As everybody knows borders are not sacrosanct, I wish Somaliland would spare itself the headache and just try to secede with whomever wants to secede. Based on the pictures both "presidents" look happy, let's hope it stays that way.

Actually it did.

Hence why the Burco and Borama reconciliation conferences were attended by all northern stakeholders incl Ali Khaliif Galeyr and thats why Somalilands goverment controls over 95% of its territory. On the other hand Puntland, Galmudug, ASWJ, etc participated in Embaghati/Muqdisho conferences and are part parcel of the TFG and the Federal Goverment that were the result of that reconciliation process.

The Somali Federal goverment acknowledges it and the international community acknowledge it. Hence why the two sides are talking.
