HARGEISA (Somalilandsun) – The presidency has sent a message of congratulations to Uhuru Kenyatta the new president of Kenya who swore allegiance to the constitution at a ceremony attended by numerous heads of states and governments at Moi Sports Centre Kasarani in Nairobi.

In his congratulatory message vice president Abdirahman Abdilahi Ismail "Sayli" who is also acting president in the absence of his en-route to Turkey boss president Silanyo, said that the people of Somaliland pray to Allah for the ease of the newly inaugurated president of Kenya's ascension to office and service to his people and nation.

"Centuries old relations between the peoples of our two countries continue to grow in strength as can be demonstrated by the large constituency of Somalilanders in Kenya as well as the ever increasing Kenyan community working for various institutions or operating business in Somaliland" said VP Sayli

While congratulating the people of Kenya for a peaceful election and their defiance of all odds to elect the incoming team of president Uhuru and his deputy Ruto, the Somaliland Vice president Abdirahman Sayli said he was confident that relations between the two countries shall not only be sustained but strengthened as well.

This message of congratulation by VP Sayli comes in the heels of an earlier one by the foreign minister Dr Mohamed Abdilahi Omar that was published by various media houses in Kenya last week.
