ictraafkina meel u joogo iyo meel u jira ba wala raadinaya.

STOIC we hired an American lobby group we gonna pay them 22000 dollar a month ,Glover Park Group will work on government relations and public relations services on behalf of Somaliland — presumably on a campaign designed to gain international recognition of the region's self-asserted sovereign status.

STOIC cid hadaan SL ku aminayo wa oday Siilaanyo eventhough there might be some farsamo xumo. but the oday wants the best thing for Somalilanders. Also Somalilanders should closely watch happens next door and what the Koonfurians are cooking, and their African mercenaries.

Somaliland is a reality in Somali world today. You will be ignorant or blinded by lack of objectivity to deny that Somaliland exists today. This is unrecognized corner of Somalia that began by a concerted mobilisation of political forces against the Siyad regime and it succeeded to establish unrecognized State after a violent upheaval of the Somalia civil war.

Twenty years after the formation of Somaliland I’m sure a a new generation of public intellectuals, political and social leaders, human and civil rights activists must have emerged from the very bosom of this unrecognized state. I’m sure they are all keeping an eye on Silanyo administration and wishing to correct the course of the nation as it fits.

Silanyo and his administration should realize they need to sharpen their knives as Somalia’s dawn of new beginning is upon us. They will not win Secession by getting red-carpet treatment in Some foreign countries. They will only succeed when they convince Somalia that nothing is left for them in Old Somalia. It will take people with love for their country to keep the wheel moving.Keep on keeping on Silanyo!!!!

STOIC to achieve Somaliland recognition can be done 2 ways, one if the international community supports and Somaliland should fall in favorable way in the geopolitical quarrels of the western countries similar like what happened in Kosovo. Or if the western countries find interests in the resources of Somaliland now the latter can happen in 2014 if oil is found. There is another way if Somaliland and Somalia agree in the upcoming talks which is unlikely unless Somaliland is very lucky but i doubt that will happen but Somaliland politicians can make it happen if they play the talks very well and negotiate from a strong position and negotiate some sort of exit out. Either way defacto independence was very hard earned and that no one can take from Somaliland because that was achieved with the blood of the SL sons, and not orchestrated from western capitals.I think the SL government should continue with the talks and still maintain good relations with western countries do it both, and continue to build Somaliland economically militarily and uphold democratic values. Africa is changing fast my friend

Yes my good friend, Somaliland exists not as a country, but part of Somalia, a region within the borders of Somalia, the only official country in the Horn of Africa. So there's no country called Somaliland. This is a new start, acknowledging Somaliland region of Somalia is what Somalia is dealing with today, not a foreign external country called Somaliland. This is the view of all Somalis minus the secessionists.

^^ Well there wouldn't be a Somalia either if it wasn't for the International community, just words on a screen, it means little on the ground. Somalia is not dealing with Somaliland at all. They are busy sorting out their problems carving clan states in Somalia and what not. By the way not all Somalis view it like that its just the Koonfurians, the Somalis Kenyans do not view it like that nor the Somalis from Ethiopia. Its just the Koonfurians who cant let go and are emotionally attached to Somaliland. But that will come with time i am sure of that.

It is a tough Spot Somaliland is finding itself Xaaji. All this chatter about Somaliland is Muqadis is pointless when Somaliland and Somalia start playing hard ball. And don’t even goad me into the oil thing lest we end up like our brothers from Puntland. This is beyond Somaliland ambition and ego. This is something that involves all Somalis and it is going to take a big Convincing to separate from Somalia.

I’m not a fan of Mogadishu administration and the clan divisions they have down there, but we are still at their mercy! While Somalia will never be in a position to project its power to Somaliland, they still hold the key to our secession. We can hire all of K-street and still not be able to win the secession agenda. The world has a vital role in keeping Somalia together and it is highly unlikely that they will support our goal. The bed-wetting unionist in Mogadishu if they have an iota of patriotism they would have started winning the hearts of all Somalis by creating a clean slate administration with no clan chatter, but it is hardly unlikely they will get their act together any time soon.

We will be isolated unless by the grace of God we somehow become strategically placed between some conflicting interests of the super powers. Mogadishi represents greatest danger and greatest hope of all Somalis. It is unfortunate reality and we have to deal with them.Somaliland greatest strength and lies in the energy and determination of its people to keep on moving and minding their business with or without recognition for now.We shall keep on striving to be modern and democratics as we are and maybe who knows the world will recognize the beacon of hope we are building there.

It is obviously in our interest to pray they get their acts together in the South and hopefully we can sort this things out in a clean way. Idealogy should be the best weapon of all to wade off anything that can challenge Somaliland.Silanyo should keep playing hard ball and people should not lose hope. This should be the message and not a false promises. Its is the loyalty and the patriotism of Somalilanders on our side that have kept Somaliland keep on moving on and it should now. Historical pride and patrotism will take the people far.

STOIC you are miscalculating the world has no interest to keep the Somali republic together, at all cost but the world was busy keeping Somalia a safe place from terrorists and piracy and they wanted a Somalia that is at peace with its self. The world sees Somaliland as a key partner in the fight against terrorism and piracy. But basically it ends there because thats the best SL can do to help them in that department. Furthermore if you look at Africa in 2007 the vast majority of african states were for Somaliland or neutral and only the key Arab states like Sudan and Egypt were opposed and thats why president rayaale could not address the AU summit in Ghana. The oil project in SL is a serious business the genel group invested more than 100 million dollars you don't throw away 100 million dollars. But the SL elites just need to play the talks in their favor i am sure the Koonfurian politicians want to reach some sort of settlement as long as SL secures an official exit way out its a done deal. The Koonfurians do not hold the cards they hold their cards, the Somalilanders also have pretty good cards, its just how u play it. Remember Somalia Somalilanders know them the best Somalilanders know their political weaknesses and how they think. As long as we find a neutral platform for the talks i think it will be in the favor of Somaliland and even of Somalia the elites of Mogadishu particularly. In the mean time keep strengthening the state institutions military and domestic affairs and the financial sectors of Somaliland and if Somalilanders do that it will be the shining star of Africa.

Who knew Stoic was a full fledged in the closet separatist.

Sadly no amount of sugarcoating and delusional thinking gonna make Hargeysa a country of her own. By the way, the same "an iota of patriotism", & "clean slate administration with no clan chatter" you say Muqdisho lacks, also lacks Hargeysa. But Hargeysa goes further by calling herself a country of the tolka, for the tolka, by the tolka. You see, Muqdisho isn't trying to build a qabiil country in the facade of modern democracy of qaran and downladnimo.
