Suldaanka Posted March 29, 2013 What is the difference between Minister for Fish and Minister for Livestock? They should both go under resources. Again why separate Commerce from Industry? Why two ministries for Aviation and Transport? Ain't both the same thing? The most ridiculous of all is What does Minister of Post do? Is there even such thing as Somaliland Post? Besides, there are so many ministries that overlap each other's sphere of work so much that you can't distinguish one from the other. He's honest, simple guy This is naasnuujin or catering for the elites when what matters is to tax land (no more speculation forcing businesses and traders out of town or money poured into unproductive use); land tax is most efficient too (only constant rents and easy money will be targeted; not traders, workshops, farmers and others) along licensing in Telecoms or remittances. Land taxes proceeds will then further urban planning or infrastructure so badly needed and stop an elite to parasite and live off the masses or lucrative rents. Suldaanka Posted March 29, 2013 Absolutely. Somaliland can not support anything more than 10 ministries. Let alone having a whole ministry, some of these ministers can not even qualify as a department such are ministry of Post, minister of argriculture, minister of commucations, minister of tourism, minister of health, minister of planning and development... all these should be just an office that comes under some department as they can not sustain themselves to warrant the establishment of a department let alone a ministry. Somaliland is not an Scandinavian country (technocrat oriented). Alas it is not even a state---it is a peaceful collection of clans living, for the most part, in harmony. Tallaabo Posted March 29, 2013 I don't have a problem with the size of the cabinet as long as the ministers do some work for a reasonable salary, are accountable, and transparent. Suldaan's support for all things secessionism was firm and unshakable. That is why they are obsessed with Somalia avoiding anything to do with the triangle. If it is not rounding up the innocent in Sool and running tanks over the defenseless in Cayn, they are sowing seeds of discontent in the South via their Trojans in Mogadishu. And when that fails to produce results, they concoct falsehoods to camouflage their inadequacies which comes in the form of crying foul day and night. One such falsehood is the constant bombardment of the forum with useless stories of Mogadishu is on flames. Kismayo is on the brink of an all out war. Marka is overrun. Baydhabo is taken over. The perpetual spinning never stops. All for one reason - it is so bad in the triangle they must find a distraction from the painful reality and an escape from the evolving, for the worse, situation. Xaaji Xunjuf Posted March 29, 2013 How did we go from Somaliland cabinet to Somalilands doomsday i like how people are overattentive when there is nothing really in SL right now all is going pretty well and smoothly. Ofcourse there are problems but there is little to discuss about SL at the moment, but in a few months there will be when the SL Somalia talks restart. When the SL parliamentary elections begin end this year, maybe the Kulmiye party elections will be interesting in a few days. As for the clashes in the southern Buhoodle district this is no longer the case its pretty peaceful now after xaglatoosiye made peace with the SL government,if there were clashes people would have talked about it and Liibaan would post from allssc. But Somaliland is very peaceful at the moment and Somalilanders love the peace in their country. But Kismayo is hot news with the goverment of Somalia talking to a faction and all ending in failure what is next and thats whats been discussed now.
