Xaaji are you aware that the Oromo and Somalis were once one group of people. Indeed the split between us was not that long ago.

^^ i doubt that the oromos and Somalis are neighbors and thats why there is some sort of similarities particulary eastern oromos. But the oromos are their own people and they were never the same people.

Genetically, linguistically, and culturally there is enough evidence to suggest that we were once a single nomadic group.

Not true the oromos can be divided in 3 categories the omo and orma including the bale clans who moved to the north the one who live in the deep south and in kenya who have Bantu ancestry and Nilotic ancestry. The one in northern shewa and western shewa and bareento oromos and tulama and wallelge oromos who are very close to Amhara and agaws Gurage culturally genetically.That leaves the arsi in Hararge and those in Harar, those might be close to Somalis but they are not the majority of oromos , oromos are not all ethnically the same. The reason why the arsi is close to the Somali is because we brought them islam and taught them the fine values of Islam.
