I don't know about that but Somalia needs to build the capicity of its defense forces and not invite more foriegners.

It's fine. They are only there to protect their new embassy scheduled to open earlier this year. Nothing else.

 

Somalia isn't a special case. The Canadians are in Haiti protecting their embassy in Port au Prince and have came to Mali last week to protect their assets there.

 

This isn't a unique case. I am sure there are many Western nations have some security in their embassies and consulates in different countries.

Sounds like a small number of troops who's only mandate is to guard their embassy. Still notable though, first time in decades that any Western nation will put troops on the ground( for an extended period of time).

I dont agree with having foreign troops in our country Somalia. But it seems Somalia is establishing good relationship with the international community. And hamar and Somalia as a whole can benefit greatly from peace and stability after being in chaos for 22 years.
