Manahel.fatima Posted January 31, 2013 Although the types of worship in Islam are the same for men and women, however, there are certain variations in the way they are performed in some of the cases. Like a woman may also learn Quran online(http://www.quranreading.com/learn-quran) following the same rules as a man does, however, when it comes to saying prayers, a woman needs to have a different posture and stance during the prayer. • Women must raise their hand till shoulders under the veil when saying Takbeer-e-Tahreema. • The hands must be tied on the chest with the palm of right hand over the back of the palm of left hand, and should not grip the list as men do. • Slightly bend in the ruku, and do not disperse your fingers on the knees. • In Sajadah, the feet must not be erect, rather they need to be horizontal to the floor pointing towards the right side, elbows should be touching the floor, and the stomach touching the thighs. • In Qa’dah, the feet must be horizontal to the floor pointing right while hands should remain closed on the thighs.
