xiinfaniin Posted December 28, 2012 After issueing mixed messages against the formation of Jubbaland admin, the truth of the matter has finally caught up with President's advisors: objection against Kismayo effort is no longer sustainable. It will be the first federal state the president will welcome in his tenure. It is a good progress. If the TFG delegation succeed in their initial visit to the city, the president himself may come to Kismayo as well. Kudos to Madoobe and those leading the local iniative. This was a good move on all sidse.
Che -Guevara Posted December 28, 2012 Not sure what to make of this but it looks like their hands were forced.
xiinfaniin Posted December 28, 2012 ^^Not reallly. They made an unforced mistake to come out against the effort so early without engaging the locals. They are now doing what they should've done few months ago. But better late than never . The other side should welcome the president in a manner befiting the leader of the country. Che -Guevara Posted December 28, 2012 As much as I like to think we have some common sense, I believe the President and the Kismayo team were told to follow the stabilization plan laid down by IGAD. The plan includes the establishment of Juba, which if we are to believe the Ethiopian Prime Minister has their blessing as well.
xiinfaniin Posted December 28, 2012 ^^That is very much the truth. It has been teh case that Somalis have had a great deal of difficulty to follow a simple plan
