Aaliyyah Posted December 11, 2012 The Somali president is loud and clear that the Somali unity is sacred by his statement that all Somali ports whether in Berbera or Kismaayo are the nation's property. A good start.

The Zack Posted December 13, 2012 The president is wrong again! Dude needs to study the constitution. The country has a rule of law in place and nobody gives a darn about his personal point of views when it comes to sharing resources. We are not following some kind of local HAG law lol, there is such thing as a SOMALI constitution. As NGONGE posted, the consistution says: The allocation of powers and resources shall be negotiated and agreed upon by the Federal Government and the Federal Member States (pending the formation of Federal Member States), except in matters concerning: (A) Foreign Affairs; (B) National Defense; © Citizenship and Immigration; (D) Monetary Policy, which shall be within the powers and responsibilities of the federal government. That was all he said, we need to sit down down and negotiate how the resource to be distributed. So he is inline with the so called constitution. oba hiloowlow Posted December 13, 2012 I agree seriously the natural recources, ports and airport etc should be run by the government waa leysla qeybsanaa no matter what maamul the only thing which the maamul's should run is the tax the government should get like 30-40% of the tax the rest should be invested in the different maamuls. Seriously though this federalism aint gonna work too much wareer somali ku heshiin meyso haa jabaan kedibna haa fikiraan these brain dead ppl
Haatu Posted December 13, 2012 War bax Qabridaharey ku noqo Galti yahow Afkiisa fiiriya As for the topic, the ports are national assets and them coming under the Federal Government benefits everyone. For example, reer Bari will not just rely on Boosaaso port, but they will get some of the revenue from Xamar, Kismaayo, Berbera, Marka etc. So in the long run it is beneficial for everyone and our economy will benefit because of that.
