The Prison Complex is intended for the Pirates returned from Overseas held by Foreign Countries and expatriated to Puntland. Puntland will treat each Prisoner as a Somali and Equal before the Law. The facilities have been upgraded and are now ready to be occupied by those Prisoners. Custodial Guards are being trained in Garoowe in a brand new training complex.

 

Puntland did accept Somali Prisoners in order to ease the anguish of the Prisoners famliies such as mothers and wifes.

First Prisoners arrive from the Seychelles to be 'housed' imprisoned in the Bosaso Prison Complex.
