The thing is Ethiopia has always been opposed to the resurgence of south Somalia. During the Arta period , Ethiopia aborted an effort led by Abdullaahi Yusuf to establish a new federal state in the south, with Kismayo being the capital. In that effort, the vision was to include Bay and Bakool regions into the new state. Ethiopia used Adan Saransoor , Indhacadde and Hiiraale to abort the whole thing. The question is whom will Ethiopia use this time to sabotage the Jubba project? This time however Ethiopia does no longer enjoy the diplomatic support with respect to Somalia's direction. Xiin, there are perhaps, plenty of takers insofar as undermining the proposed Kismayo admin is concerned. The unknown variable is whether Ethiopian leverage will be effective this time given its diminishing clout in the region, and Kenya's long term investment in the Kismayo project as a buffer zone against violent radicals. Only time will tell.
xiinfaniin Posted November 14, 2012 Only time will tell. But it does not bode well for the opponents of Kismayo project when Ethiopia is taking the same stance President Hassan should distance himself from Ethiopia .

xiinfaniin Posted November 14, 2012 ^^Awoowe , lets hope the leadership in Mogadishu does not make the same mistakes we've been making last twenty years. How is everything down there, in your neck of the woods?
Libaax-Sankataabte Posted November 14, 2012 Awoowe, everything is dandy out here. A bird in Texas whispered in my ear that that you all may take a short trip up north. Perhaps we will have some tea if I make it to the festivities awoowe.

In contrast the Kenya's are pushing ras community to hold thier interest , correct me if I am wrong. As much you said Ethiopia wanted Indhacade ,hiiraale and Adan saransoor to lead jubboooyinka. As long we are being used by the enemy what are we good for ? President was clear on this yet people of opposite clan of the president showed thier opposition to the point where they wanted to Impeach the president. xiinfaniin Posted November 15, 2012 ^^ The president was not clear on this before yesterday , when he clarified his position and qualified his support, the atmosphere become clearer and the hysteria that surrounded this issue has diminished. that is what leadership is all about. When the president led, we see results. And I hope he continue with his renewed sense of focus on the bigger issues and priorities that country is confronted. Kismayo admin has been in the works well before the president come to office. Some of us opposed it when the Kenyans refused to be part of AMISOM. But now that is part of AMISOM and locals are leading and taking ownership, we find nothing to object to.
