^ It just shows the current sad state of affairs that something quite frankly as sh!t and embarrasing is being paraded as a huge achievement.

He has to look to be doing something regardless how small of an "achievement" or low the quality of the project.

Fair enough and understandable if there are a lack of funds, but even at the most basic level of planning and organisation there is failure and incompetence.

 

lol where are the chairs and where is the grass :eek: Whats the use of this when there are folks dying of hunger and thirst... even if they had set up government owned farms with these resources that have been wasted and grown food, that would have been something.

I am not actually sure what 'governments' in Somaliland and Puntland do? NGOs and the private enterprise that are ones actually doing something. So called government just shows up for the ribbon cutting and pass it 'development'.

There is lack of fundings for these projects thats why you wont see large scale developments but nevertheless these are developments a year ago there was no stadium in berbera today there is and that is something we should welcome.

And having cabinet sessions with his government but next month there are local elections so he is also busy with that.

^What does the cabinet do? I get the daily meetings but else? Other than the security apparatus, it seems nothing else is working.

Actually cabinet is doing lots of things for instance the Minister of aviation is doing a project of reconstructing both the hargeysa and burco airports the hargeysa airport is right now under construction.The minister of planning and finance minister are re organizing the tax system of the country they are currently in the eastern part of the country. So there is lots of activities going on in the cabinet. But because Somaliland is a poor country it takes time to see real changes.

It seems to me Che won't be content until he sees Silaanyo in some overalls kneeling down with a hammer banging in some nails, whilst Oday Somali is wondering why Somalis haven't sent a rover to Mars yet.
