NGONGE Posted October 19, 2012 ^^ Yes but there is a conflict of interests for you and therefore your view can't be taken as seriously as that of someone with who has some distance.
Mario B Posted October 19, 2012 I believe both Kenya and Ethiopia are a threat to our sovereignty, if we do not push back [legimately] then they will forever be meddling with our internal affairs. The solutions lies in the four major clans cutting out their horse manure politics and coming together as one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. P.s Apophis shouldn't be trusted, we know where his loyalty lies.

Xaaji Xunjuf Posted October 20, 2012 Both Ethiopia and Kenya are external enemies of Somalia but we need to balance a few points before we continue. Ethiopia since 1991 was supporting warlords against each other Ethiopia has been fueling the Somali civil war by distributing arms to the various Somali factions. Ethiopia is one of washingtons strongest ally in Africa in the so called war against terrorism Somalia became a victim of that. Ethiopia and Somalia fought 3 wars since 1964 in 1977 and between 2006 till 2009. Ethiopia has been selling this idea since the 15 century to western imperialists that they are a christian island surrounded by islamists Mullah states. Ethiopia can be defeated if Somalia patrols its own borders with Ethiopia and if Somalis sort out their own internal problems. Ethiopia will never find deep holes in the Somali society ever again Ethiopians have been studying Somalis and their weakness for centuries. Ethiopia can be defeated with strong Somali national security forces. Kenya on the other hand had little to do with Somalia Kenya became involved in Somalia when their own security was damaged by alshabaab islamists near the Kenyan Somali border in 2011.They have their own political motives some say its about the waters of Somalia others say Kenya wants to maintain a buffer zone between Somalia and Kenya. So what we see there is that Kenya is there to defend it self now we cant say Kenya is a friend of Somalia ofcourse they are doing this not to help Somalia lets not be naive but their tourism industry was badly hurt by Alshabaab. So they needed to strike to defend their own security its a preventive strike for their own national security. Kenya's influence in the juba regions is a fact we cant deny that but only the government in Mogadishu can change that. If they help organize the people of the juba regions to be closely linked to their government in Mogadishu instead of the government in Nairobi than its a win. This battle needs be won by the Somali government and only the Somali government can be victorious over the Kenyans. if it wins the hearts and minds of its people in the Juba regions.
