Malika Posted October 13, 2012 Damon, why would you even ask Somalis what to do on a weekend..haha, war we do nothing. I apart from sitting either drinking shaah or gossiping or fadhii ku diriir - all these activities involve sitting around doing nothing constructive. You got the net - search your interest in London. London is a happening place, there is all sorts of activities to suit all interests.

Blessed Posted October 13, 2012 The possibilities are as endless or however far your imagination takes you, there's something for every one in London. P.s The Somali Week Festival starts next Friday, btw. 2 weeks celebrating Somali literature and culture, that should stimulate your mind for the rest of the year. Details; kayd.org. Alpha Blondy Posted October 13, 2012 Apo, you seem like a rather classy guy, what can you do in london these days? i agree that shisha places are a social deathtrap.
Haatu Posted October 13, 2012 Well there's plenty to do. For starters, there's the weekend ritual of playing footie at Goals with the mates (Goals centres are dotted throughout the city). Then there's Westfield(s) as Somalia said for a bit of shopping. If you're an Ed Sheeran listening 21st century hippie, there's a whole host of museums and other white-boy stuff you can take part in. If you just want a quite day with maalaayacni Somalis, Southall is your place If you want some...ehem...stimulants, Brixton is not a bad place. Avoid the East totally, nothing useful happens there. The area is dead as dead can be (Excel centre is OK tho)
