Jacpher Posted October 12, 2012 Mayorship is the least worry of Kismaayo or the President for that matter. Peace should be the priority now. The federal government should take the sole ownership and responsibility of the city and tell all these contesting clans to take a hike so the city won't be another clan battle ground. No clan administration, No Kenyan buffer zone, No statehood in Jubooyinka. No new mini states. Keep every city, state as is.
Che -Guevara Posted October 12, 2012 ^That might be the best way to go since it's flash point that could derail everything.

No to clan states,Yes to 18 region Federalism, which I believe is much more democratic, IMO!

Clan states function in regions with Sub-clan hegemony, taking that model to the South where the clan structure is mosaic is madness, IMO. And why is PL busy trying to build a Sub-clan state In Juuboyinka when it opposed Khatumo from the very inception?
NGONGE Posted October 12, 2012 Ever since this new president has been elected this site has been bombarded with names of obsecure places like Kismaayo, Ximan and xabab and that other place they're having fights with! War what's wrong with our usual diet of SL, PL and Xamar? Why bore us with stories of tiny town that are neither here nor there when all is daid and done? Naga daaya.
